体坛英语新闻:100 archers to participate in African championships
WINDHOEK, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- Thirteen African countries are sending more than 100 participants for the archery championships set for Windhoek from Jan. 28 until 31.
A training camp involving archers from South Africa, Benin, Namibia, Kenya, Libya, Cote d'Ivoire, Mauritius, Algeria and Zimbabwe is currently underway in Windhoek.
Archers from four other countries, Tunisia, Sudan, Malawi and Morocco are expected for the championships.
Successful archers will qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and the 2017 World Championship in Wroclaw, Poland.
The Olympic Solidarity and the International Olympic Committee are hosting the training camp meant to help the archers develop skills ahead of the championships.
