体坛英语新闻：Lowry's career-high 43 points give Raptors win over Cavs

TORONTO, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- Raptors guard Kyle Lowry scored a career-best 43 points including a last second go-ahead jumper to give Toronto a 99-97 win over Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday.

In a matchup of the top two teams in the Eastern Conference, the second place Raptors prevailed to improve to 39-18 on the season, two games behind the 41-16 Cavaliers.

With All-Star DeMar DeRozan battling a flu and shooting an abysmal 0-for-10 from the field after three quarters, Toronto found themselves behind 77-68 at the end of the third quarter.

The team's other All-Star, Kyle Lowry stepped up by playing the entire second half where he scored 28 points, including 16 in the fourth quarter. Lowry's final two points was a game-winning jumper with 3.8 seconds left in the game.

"He knew it was on his back. Nobody was having a great game," said Raptors head coach Dwane Casey of Lowry at his post-game press conference. "I thought that was one of his all-round solid games; offensively and defensively."

Lowry's 43 points surpass his previous career-high of 41 in a losing effort against Golden State earlier this season in December. The two-time All-Star also added nine assists and five rebounds in the night.
