体坛英语新闻:Luis Fabiano could return to Brazilian football
RIO DE JANEIRO, March 1 (Xinhua) -- Luis Fabiano could return to Brazilian football just a few months after leaving Sao Paulo for Chinese club Tianjin Quajin.
In an interview with Brazilian radio station Radio Jovem Pan, the 35-year-old former Brazil international striker expressed a desire to return to boyhood club Ponte Preta.
At the same time he rejected the idea of a return to Sao Paulo, the club where he has enjoyed two spells during his long career.
In total, he played 348 games for the Paulista Tricolor, netting on 209 occasions, winning the 2012 Copa Sul-Americana in the process.
Fabiano started his career at Ponte Preta, making his debut in 1998.
During his time at the club, he scored 21 goals in 62 matches, before making the switch to French club Rennes.
The forward also played for Brazil at the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
