体坛英语新闻:China's Hou, Ukraine's Muzychuk play another draw in World Chess Championship final
KIEV, March 6 (Xinhua) -- The fourth game of the Women World Chess Championship final in the city of Lviv in western Ukraine on Sunday between Hou Yifan from China and Maria Muzychuk from Ukraine ended in a draw, which marked the third tie in the tournament.
The 22-year-old Hou, who is a two-time world champion and the winner of the FIDE Grand Prix, was seen as a favorite of the game, but she failed to use her first-move advantage of playing White against the 23-year-old reigning world champion Muzychuk, who has turned to open style of playing.
The stalemate in the game occurred after 21 moves and two and a half hours into the match.
The two grandmasters met 4 times during the tournament, with Hou enjoying a narrow advantage of 1 win and 3 draws. With 6 games ahead, Hou has two and a half points and Muzychuk grabbed a point and a half.
The FIDE Women's World Chess Championship final match for golden chess crown, which kicked off on Wednesday, runs till March 18.
