体坛英语新闻:Curry sidelined for 2 weeks with knee injury
WASHINGTON, April 25 (Xinhua) -- Stephen Curry will sit out Golden State Warriors's games in the next two weeks as he suffered a knee injury, the NBA team said on Monday.
Curry was injured in Warriors'121-94 win over the Houston Rockets on Sunday when he slid awkwardly on a wet spot on the court and fell.
The reigning league MVP underwent an MRI exam on Monday which showed a Grade 1 sprain of the MCL in his right knee.
General manager Bob Myers said Curry didn't need surgery which was a "relatively good news".
However, Myers said the two-week estimate was an educated guess based on how players typically respond to similar injuries, but the absence could be three weeks or possibly slightly shorter.
