KUNSHAN, China, June 17 (Xinhua) -- China rallied past Australia 3-1 here Saturday evening for their second victory at the 2017 FIVB men's volleyball World League.

Dropping the first set 17-25, the Chinese team came back to win the next three sets 25-19, 25-23, 25-17 to take a revenge in last week's clash, where China was prevailed in straight sets.

Jiang Chuan again scored the highest 23 points for China, when Liu Bibin added 15 and Ji Daoshuai 14. Williams Lincoln Alexander contributed team-high 19 points for Australia, and Graham Beau added 10.

Tied at 10-10 in the first set, China lost the leading position as they committed several serving errors, their opponents took advantage of that by smashing emphatic attacks, finishing the set 25-17.

"Australia changed their line-up in the game, which is out of our preparation," said Raul Lozano, headcoach of China. "We didn't start well in the first set."

China retained the momentum from the second set. Cheering by the home crowd, the hosts began to show their superiority on court by leading 22-15. In spite of Australia saved two set balls, a powerful spike from Jiang Chuan helped China won the set 25-19.

Good servings and firm blocks helped China rush to lead in the following two sets and sealed the victory with 25-23 and 25-17.

"This is an important game and I am satisfied with the result. But I want to say that the level of the game is not good enough. We didn't play our best in every aspect. Besides the victory, I am not satisfied with the performance of my players," added Lozano.
