体坛英语新闻:First International traditional martial arts championships kick off in Lithuania
VILNIUS, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- Lithuania International Traditional Martial Arts Championships 2017 kicked off at the Lithuania Exhibition and Congress Center here Saturday.
Over 150 participants will compete in full contact fights, easy contact fights, free technique, traditional martial arts forms demonstrations and Tuishou wrestling competitions.
According to Thomas Lapinskas, president of Lithuanian Wusu Federation, this is the first time Lithuania stages international traditional martial arts championships, aiming to promote friendly competition and martial arts spirit and preserve the integrity of traditional martial arts.
The two-days competition is organized by the Vilnius municipal government as well as Lithuanian Wushu Federation, Shaolin.lt, Lithuania Aikido Aikikiai Federation, Lithuania Nhat Nam Federation and so on.
