体坛英语新闻:Durant loves LeBron James' move to Lakers
WASHINGTON, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant on Thursday gave his stamp of approval for LeBron James' move to the Los Angeles Lakers.
For the first time in their careers, Durant and James will be in the same conference.
"I loved it. I absolutely loved it," Durant was quoted as saying by sports news portal the Undefeated on Thursday.
"I thought it was the perfect decision, perfect move, did everything he was supposed to do in Cleveland. I think this is the perfect next step for him, and he's kinda breaking down the barriers of what an NBA superstar is supposed to be. You feel like you're just supposed to play it out in one spot."
"I think he did a good job of giving different chapters. I think it's gonna make his book even more interesting when it's done," he added.
Durant also welcomed the arrival of DeMarcus Cousins to Golden State, one of the key free-agent moves of the summer and a shocking one for the majority of the NBA world.
"I was so excited because I knew how important this time was for DeMarcus, to find a team and find somebody that's going to help him get through this injury first and then play his best basketball," Durant said. Enditem
