体坛英语新闻：Iran to warm up with Qatar on Dec. 31 for AFC Asian Cup 2019

TEHRAN, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- Iran will meet Qatar in a friendly match on Dec. 31 prior to the AFC Asian Cup 2019, Tehran Times daily reported on Monday.

The AFC Asian Cup 2019 will be held in the UAE from Jan. 5 to Feb. 1.

Iran's friendly match with Venezuela is in doubt and they will meet Trinidad and Tobago in Tehran on Nov. 15.

Iran beat Uzbekistan 1-0 in September and defeated Bolivia 2-1 on Oct. 16 in Tehran.

The Iranian national team, coached by Carlos Queiroz from Portugal, havs been drawn along with Iraq, Vietnam and Yemen in Group D of the upcoming Asian Cup.

Iran have not won the title since 1976.
