MONTREAL, April 26 (Xinhua) -- China's teenage pair Lu Wei/Zhang Jiaqi failed to snatch their third consecutive gold of the women's 10m platform synchronized at the 2019 FINA/CNSG Diving World Series, as they took home a bronze in Canada's Montreal on Friday.

Lu and Zhang, newly paired up this season, met no challenge in the previous two World Series events. They earned 454.06 points in Beijing, China last month after winning their opening gold in Sagamiahara, Japan.

On Friday, the teenagers' performance was obviously below par as they only collected 320.64 points. Kim Mi Rae and Jo Jin Mi of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea grabbed the gold medal in 329.70 points while Canadian pair Meaghan Benfeito and Caeli McKay trailed behind in 328.47 points.

The other divers from the Chinese "dream team" didn't give any chance to their rivals.

Cao Yuan/Xie Siyi won the men's 3m springboard synchronized in 457.14 points, followed by Jahir Ocampo Marroquin/Rommel Pacheco Marrufo from Mexico in 433.02 and American Andrew Capobianco/Mike Hixon in 416.49.

Wang Han/Shi Tingmao took victory in the women's 3m springboard synchronised in 327.00, while Canadian pair Jennifer Abel/Melissa Citrini Beaulieu and Australian duo Anabelle Smith/Maddison Keeney finished second and third respectively.

Yang Hao/Lian Junjie dominated the men's 10m platform synchronized in 464.52 as Matthew Lee/Thomas Daley from Britain were 52.32 points behind. Andres Isaac Villarreal Tudon/Kevin Berlin Reyes of Mexico were third in 398.46.

The competition in Montreal has two days to go with three finals for each day.
