体坛英语新闻:Turkey beat Netherlands 3-1 at women's volleyball nations league
BELGRADE, May 22 (Xinhua) -- Turkey took their second win at the first weekend of the FIVB Women's Nations League here on Wednesday by defeating Netherlands 3-1 (25-22, 25-14, 21-25, 25-15).
Turkey gained the initial lead after a fierce fight in the first set at the Aleksandar Nikolic hall in Belgrade, in a dramatic finish.
In the second set, the resistance of the Netherlands weakened, allowing Turkish team to confirm its lead easily.
The Netherlands came back in the third set and managed to break in final minutes.
However, Turkey crushed the Netherland's hopes with a 6-0 run and sealed the victory in the fourth set.
Turkey beat South Korea on Tuesday while the Netherlands lost to Serbia.
The Netherlands will meet South Korea on Thursday, while Turkey face Serbia.
