PARIS, May 25 (Xinhua) -- FIFA Women's World Cup hosts France registered a commanding 3-0 win over Thailand despite failing a pair of penalties in the second half in an international football friendly in Orleans on Saturday.

After Elise Bussaglia opened the scoring around the hour mark, substitute Kadidiatou Diani shone with a brace for Les Bleus.

France's head coach Corinne Diacre dispatched a rare starting line-up, with most players from all-conquering French outfit Lyon on the bench.

Fourth-ranked France displayed their dominance, but were held to no goals into the halftime. The most threatening first-half attack came from Viviane Asseyi, whose shot was parried by Thai goalkeeper Sukanya Charoenying onto the crossbar.

Bussaglia ended France's quest for a deadlock-breaking goal, as she made the most of opponents' poor clearance to smash home.

France's first penalty arrived in the 72nd minute due to a handball inside the box, but Grace Geyoro saw her spot kick bounce off the bar.

Six minutes later, Diani intercepted the ball from behind before firing a low shot at target.

Geyoro earned France's second penalty with six minutes remaining, but it was Eve Perisset that squandered it by firing a shot well saved by Charoenying.

Perisset made quick redemption though, as she teed up Diani's close-range strike from right flank in the 86th minute.

It was France's ninth win in 10 matches and fourth straight victory.

They will take on China on May 31 in Creteil as the final tune-up to the World Cup.

Placed in Group A at the World Cup, France will face South Korea in the opener at the Parc des Princes on June 7, with Norway and Nigeria as the other two opponents in group phase.
