NEW DELHI, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- Chen Mingling and Guo Zixuan combined for 40 points as China beat the Philippines 104-57 on Wednesday night, collecting their second straight win in Group B of 2019 FIBA Women's Asia Cup.
The Philippines led early in the first quarter but went cold while China woke up from their slumber and responded with a 10-0 run, including two 3-pointers from rookie Chen Mingling. After Guo Zixuan hit a driving layup, China carved out a double-digit lead with 21-11 into the second.
China got a boost from Han Xu and Chen Mingling in the second quarter, who built on the momentum by fueling a 14-0 run to help China take a 47-26 lead at the halftime break.
China continued to extend the lead during the second half, while Guo Zixuan made three consecutive shots from beyond the arc, building a huge 31-point lead that really was never threatened much.
China had six players scoring in double figures, while Han Xu and Li Yueru collected double-double apiece.
