体坛英语新闻:Indonesian Daud says to knock out S. African Mokoena
JAKARTA, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian Daud Cino Yordan, holder of WBO Intercontinental lightweight title of 61.2kg said on Tuesday that he will knock out Michael Mokoena from South Africa during next month's bout.
Daud will fight Mokoena in a bout of IBA Super Lightweight World Title and WBO Oriental on November 17 in Malang of Indonesia's East Java province, according to Urgyen Richen Sim, managing director of Mahkota Promotion.
"With a long preparation, I am optimistic that (my) knock-out punch will occur by itself," said Daud.
Daud had been to a training camp in Bali for three weeks, and coach Pino Bahari said he wants Daud to perform aggressively during the upcoming bout.
"We want Daud to fight aggressively, because we do not want to only win, but win convincingly," he said.
Daud had two bouts against South Africans, the first against Simpiwe Vetyeke in April 2013 and the other against Sipho Taliwe on December 6, 2013. He beat Taliwe but lost to Vetyeke.
Daud's last fight was on August 4 in Thailand where he beat Thai Aekkawee Kaewmanee with a knock-out.
Daud, 32, has a record of 39 wins, including 27 KOs, and four losses.
