体坛英语新闻:Milan midfielder Biglia weighing up future
BUENOS AIRES, April 15 (Xinhua) -- Veteran AC Milan midfielder Lucas Biglia said Wednesday he is yet to think about retirement and did not rule out a return to Argentinian football.
The 34-year-old's contract with the Italian Serie A club expires in the European summer, prompting speculation of a possible homecoming.
"I have a contract until June. My idea is to prioritize my family for the first time to see what they want to do," Biglia told Argentinian radio station AM 1030.
One club that has been strongly linked with the playmaker is Argentinian Superliga outfit Independiente, where he spent 18 months before moving to Europe in 2006.
Independiente head coach Lucas Pusineri has made public his interest in signing Biglia despite citing the club's financial constraints as a hurdle.
Biglia said he is no rush to make a decision and revealed a desire to become a coach.
"We'll have to wait and see what happens," said Biglia, who has been capped 58 times for Argentina's national team and played in two World Cups.
"I have already been inquiring about the coaching course. That [coaching] is what I eventually want to do but I hope to continue playing for a few more years yet," he added.
