TEGUCIGALPA, July 7 (Xinhua) -- The wife of ousted Honduran President Manuel Zelaya, Xiomara Castro de Zelaya, led on Tuesday a pacific march in the main streets of Tegucigalpa demanding Zelaya's restitution.
The demonstrators arrived to the government house, but they were blocked by militaries and policemen who surrounded the Executive's headquarters.
Castro said that "the only thing we are not going to negotiate is the President not to be restituted in his charge."
"If the President has pending issues, why he is not allowed to come to defend himself (..) what is the fear for him to come?" Castro told local media.
When Zelaya was ousted on June 28, Castro sought refugee in Olancho Mountains in the northeast.
"It was not possible that I had to refuge and that there were men and women risking their lives," Castro said.
