"Iran and Brazil are two important countries in two different parts of the world," he said, adding that "good relations between the two states are in the correct path."
For his part, the Brazilian minister said "the relations between the two countries have been strengthened and several technical and commercial delegations have been exchanged between the two countries in the past years."
Asked whether Brazil is under pressure over its president's visit to Tehran, he said "there has been no pressure from any country concerning our country's president's visit to Iran."
Brazil does not surrender to any pressure and nothing can stop Brazil's ties with other countries, he added.
Amorim arrived in Tehran on Monday morning for a two-day visit which aims at establishing ground for the upcoming trip of Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva to Iran, the official IRNA news agency said on Monday
