However, Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou still remains the most suitable person for the office in the opinion of 43 percent of the respondents. Main opposition party leader Antonis Samaras receives an 18-percent support, while 39 percent of respondents believe that nobody is suitable.
Meanwhile, Papandreou implied in an interview with cnn on Sunday that Greece could sue U.S. banks for their role in the financial crisis that has hit hard the country.
"I do not rule out the possibility of a legal action," said Papandreou.
"I hear the words lack of transparency and fraud. Therefore, yes, there is a great responsibility here," said Papandreou, adding that at this moment there is a parliamentary investigation going on in Greece on the bad management and wrong practices.
U.S. authorities have been looking into the role of six major U. S. banks in order to find out if they misled investors in transactions made before the outbreak of the global financial crisis in 2008.
