TUNIS, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- 128 diplomats and members of the U. S. embassy in Tunis have left the country for Washington, Shems FM reported on Sunday.
The move comes one day after the U.S. State Department ordered non-essential diplomatic staff and their families to leave Tunisia and Sudan. It also warned U.S. nationals not to travel to those countries.
According to the latest death toll, four people were killed and 48 injured when angry mobs attacked the U.S. embassy compound on Friday. A nearby American school was also torched and looted.
