国际英语新闻:11 killed, 7 injured in violence in Pakistan's Karachi
ISLAMABAD, June 6 (Xinhua) -- At least three paramilitary troops were injured when some unknown militants hurled hand grenade at their office in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi on Wednesday night, local media reported.
The latest incident brought the number of injured people to seven and death toll to 11 over the last two days in separate incidents of violence in the city.
Early on Wednesday morning, four bodies were recovered from Malir area of the city. Police said that the victims were gunned down by unknown insurgents after being abducted a few days earlier.
On Tuesday, seven people were shot dead by unidentified gunmen in various areas of the city.
Police registered a case against the militants and kicked off search operation.
On Wednesday, leaders of Muttahida Qaumi Movement, a main political party in the city, held a protest against the abduction of their activists by unknown people and appealed the government to take action against the responsible elements.
