国际英语新闻:Overnight shooting kills 1, injures 2 in Texas restaurant
HOUSTON, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- One person was killed and two others were injured when shots were fired inside a crowded restaurant in the U.S. state of Texas, local media reported Monday.
The shooting happened during a fight inside a taqueria, a Mexican restaurant specializing in tacos, in Arcola in southeast Texas on Sunday night, local media KHOU reported.
Police said there were about 30 people inside the restaurant when two men got into a fight, and one of them pulled a gun. The suspect opened fire, shot and killed the other man. Police said the suspect then shot the victim's father twice.
The son, aged 30, was pronounced dead at the scene. His father was sent to the hospital in stable condition.
A third person was grazed by a bullet. The victim, a woman, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The victims' identities have not been released, but local reports said the father and the son were Mexican Americans. No arrests have been made and the shooter remained at large.
There was some confusion in media reports about the number of shooters. Local TV ABC13, quoting eyewitnesses, said the dead victim had altercations with four men and two of them opened fire.
Police have not confirmed the saying. No other details are yet available now.
