国际英语新闻:2 killed in SW Pakistan blast
ISLAMABAD, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- At least two people including a policeman were killed and five others injured when a bomb went off in Pakistan's southwest Quetta city on Tuesday afternoon, local media reported.
Samaa TV said that the bomb was planted at roadside near a police station in Gawalmandi area of Quetta, the capital city of the country's southwest Balochistan province.
The militants detonated bomb with a remote controlled device and fled the scene, said the report.
The blast injured five people including two police men who have been shifted to a nearby hospital.
Window glasses of nearby houses and shops were destroyed and also several parked vehicles were damaged.
Police cordoned off the area following the incident, shops were closed and traffic was suspended.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
