国际英语新闻:Refugee issue has to be solved at its source: Croatian PM
ZAGREB, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic said on Saturday that the refugee issue had to be solved at its source, reiterated his country "would not be a European refugee centre".
He said the problem had to be solved in Greece and Turkey and the arrival of new migrants could be prevented by the Greek coast guard.
The migrants would not stop until preventive measures were taken, he said, adding people have to prepare the wave of migrants if the issue did not be solved at its source.
According to him, 75-80 percent of all refugees were arriving via Greece and Turkey.
He reiterated that Croatia "will not be a European refugee centre", not only because of its limited capacity but also the refugees did not willing to stay here.
Croatian Interior Minister Ranko Ostojic said earlier on Saturday that most of the refugees entering the country in previous days have left, but around 2,000 remained at the train station in Tovarnik, the town near the border with Serbia.
