国际英语新闻:Chadian President Deby re-elected: electoral commission
N'DJAMENA, Chad, April 21 (Xinhua) -- Chadian President Idriss Deby has won the presidential election, clinching 61.56 percent of the votes in the first round, the Chadian Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) said on Thursday.
Saleh Kebzabo finished a distant second with 12.80 percent of the vote followed by Laokein Kourayo Mbaiherem with 10.60 percent, according to the provisional result released by the CENI.
Thirteen candidates contested in the first round of presidential election on April 10.
Deby, the president of ruling Patriotic Salavation Movement which was founded by himself in 1990, became president in March 1991, and was re-elected as president in 1996, 2001, 2006 and 2011, respectively.
