BUDAPEST, May 9 (Xinhua) -- Hungary and Brazil share similar approaches to important matters causing dilemmas in global politics such as migration, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto said here on Thursday.

"We are proud to be among the six countries that voted against the United Nations Migration Compact, the most dangerous document ever," said Szijjarto at a joint press conference held with Brazilian Foreign Minister Ernesto Araujo.

"We reserve the right to decide who should enter and with whom we'll live together in our very own country," he underlined, adding that Hungary and Brazil agreed to coordinate their actions in international forums in the future.

Hungary supported Brazil's efforts to become a member of the United Nations Security Council and to join the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), said Szijjarto.

The Hungarian government set up a 415-million-euro (about 465.4 million U.S. dollars) credit line with Hungary's Eximbank to finance bilateral business cooperation focusing on the promotion of Hungarian exports of food, IT, water management and pharmaceutical products.

The goal of the Hungarian government was to strengthen the Hungarian companies' activities in Brazil, the minister noted, adding that a new impetus was needed concerning bilateral trade.

Araujo, in his turn, said both Hungary and Brazil were countries committed to "making their voices heard."

Brazil was fully ready to cooperate with Hungary in multilateral organizations to protect their values.

Before the press conference, the two ministers signed a bilateral agreement on the extradition of criminals.
