国际英语新闻:India's Modi to hold bilateral meetings with visiting leaders after swearing-in
NEW DELHI, May 30 (Xinhua) -- Indian Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi will hold bilateral meetings with the visiting six heads of state and government in New Delhi after taking the oath of office and secrecy, said official sources on Thursday.
Modi's swearing-in ceremony is slated to take place at 7:00 p.m. at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan (President House).
According to sources in the External Affairs Ministry, Modi will hold a bilateral meeting with Kyrgyzstan's President Sooronbay Jeenbekov late evening.
His bilateral meetings scheduled for Friday are with Bangladeshi President Abdul Hamid, Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena, Mauritian Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, Nepali Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli, and Bhutanese Prime Minister Lotay Tshering, added the sources.
Immediately after Thursday's swearing-in ceremony, President of India Ram Nath Kovind will host a banquet in the honor of the visiting leaders.
