国际英语新闻:Lebanese president says appreciates France for "United for Lebanon" charity concert
BEIRUT, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- Lebanese President Michel Aoun expressed on Friday appreciation to the organizers of a live charity concert held at the famed Olympia concert hall in Paris on Oct. 1 in solidarity with Lebanon following Beirut port's explosions.
Aoun expressed his deep appreciation for the fundraising event directed by Franco-Lebanese musician and composer Ibrahim Maalouf who gathered artists from France, Lebanon and several countries for this celebration.
Dubbed "United for Lebanon," the event was organized by the public channel France 2 with support from all television and digital channels affiliated with France TV, the French national public television channel.
President Aoun considered that this ceremony once again reflects global solidarity with the Lebanese in their tough circumstances and the extent to which French artists are attached to Lebanon.
