Gucci：What's so special today?

May: Why?

Gucci: Didn't you notice all the roses?

May：It's July 7th. Chinese Valentine's Day!

Gucci: Oh, God. I just forget it.

May: I thought you had trouble with Clive!

Gucci: No. But now he will be in bigger trouble! What's a boyfriend for? Forget about Valentine's Day?

May: Poor guy! It's not fair. You forgot it too.

1.Chinese Valentine's Day:中国情人节，指的是农历七月初七，是传说中牛郎织女相会的日子。相当于西方公历2月14日的情人节（Valentine's Day）。

2.What're friends for! 这里是阿美表示自己会站在古奇一边的表达，意思为：我肯定站在你这一边，要不怎么说是朋友呢！在日常生活中，经常是一方表示感谢，另一方会用这种表达方式表示不用客气，意思为：朋友是用来干吗的呀，这是做朋友该做的。

3.Two is company. 完整的表达应是：Two's company, three's none. 意思为：两人成伴，三人不欢。

祈使句

与中文中的定义一样，英语中的祈使句也是表示提出命令、劝告、警告、禁止和请求等的句子，以动词原形开头，句末用感叹号或句号，一般用降调。祈使句的主语通常都是第二人称，所以通常都省略。

1.祈使句的肯定形式

（1）动词原形开头

Look at the blackboard, please. 请看黑板。

Pass the paper to me, please! 请把纸传给我。

（2）在开头的动词前加do 可加强语气

Do come to school on time tomorrow. 明天务必准时到校。

Do keep your bedroom clean and tidy. 务必保持你的卧室干净、整洁。

（3）用祈使句也可以表达客气的语气，在句首或句尾加please。在句尾加please时，要在please前加逗号

Keep quite, please. 请保持安静。

May, come earlier next time, please. 阿美，下次请早点儿来。
