贵州关岭山体滑坡107人被埋 生还希望渺茫

More than 100 people from 38 different families have been buried and killed by a landslide triggered by heavy rainfall in China's southwest Guizhou province.

受强降水影响，中国东南部贵州省发生山体滑坡，当地38户共100多人被埋。

According to the country's state media, CCTV, half a mountain was seen to dissapear in only several minutes.

据中国中央电视台报道，有目击者称，半座山仅在几分钟内就消失了。

Rescue workers were rushed by the local government to Guanling county in the landlocked province after the landslide trapped around 107 people from two villages. But their work was hindered by the persistent rainfall.

山体滑坡困住了2个村庄的约107人，当地政府派遣救援人员奔赴地处贵州盆地的关岭。但持续的降雨给救援工作造成了障碍。

The Guanling county has been plagued with extreme weather conditions since Sunday evening and until now the precipitation has been over 200 mm.

自打上周日夜间，关岭县就遭遇了极其恶劣的天气，到目前为止，当地降雨量达200多毫米。

Heavy rains and devastating floods have battered south China in recent weeks. So far, leaving nearly 400 people dead.

近几周来，中国南部省市受到强降雨和洪涝灾害影响。截至到目前，已有近400人丧生。
