波兰男童骑马去上幼儿园
有没有想过在交通如此便捷的今天选择骑马作为出行工具?波兰一个4岁的男童就这样做了——每日骑马去上幼儿园。因而也成为最年轻的骑马者。
Most children get picked up from school by car or public transport but one Polish schoolboy has a unique form of transport.
Four-year-old Kacper Stepien is the talk of his kindergarten thanks to his four-legged friend Fala.
When Kacper asked his mother, Agata, why he couldn't be picked up from kindergarten with the family pet she didn't have an answer.
"He saw parents pick up their children with dogs, even with a ferret... because we have moved closer and we don't have a dog. Kacper asked me: 'Mummy, pick me up with an animal as well' ...and his animal is a horse. So I had to talk with my husband, with the kindergarten and then I could pick up my child".
The other mums find Agata's mode of transport amusing.
Joanna Okraska, another mother, says: "Sure it's great fun for a child... it's funny. My child is very spontaneous, he'd also like me to pick him up with a horse, but unfortunately it's not possible".
And the four-year-old feels quite at home with Fala's. He's been on horseback since he was ten months old.
Agata says: "He grabs her leg, he grabs her head, he grabs her tail, he hangs on her, and she is totally calm, she lets him do everything... they kiss each other".
The two-kilometre journey takes about half an hour. Fala picks Kacper up at least three times a week.
The only downside is the attention they attract, particularly from passing motorists.
Agata says: "Some of the drivers have some stupid ideas and they start to honk. Luckily she ignores it".
It will take more than a car horn to faze Fala. She's just finished a police training course for horses so she isn't skittish.
Andrzej Galka, father of Kacper , reckons travelling by horse is safer than by car.
He says: "We should also think about security when parents pick them up in cars. I think it's the same, if it isn't even more secure on a horse."
And Kacper could become Poland's youngest jockey. The horse mad youngster is having riding lessons four times a week.
