He's one of the biggest stars in the National Basketball Association. But Clippers power forward Blake Griffin is also one of the hardest working guys in the NBA. Reporter Jeff Napshin caught up with him in Washington, and has more on the spectacular new All-Star.

With a dominate performance and victory over the Washington Wizards -- Blake Griffin is enjoying life on top of the NBA.

Blake Griffin, LA Clippers Forward, said, "Things are great. Some ups and downs but with our new players it's kinda brought us new life."

At 6-10 and 250 pounds he's a dominant presence on the court. The 22-year old power forward is enjoying his first full year with the L-A Clippers after sitting out last season with a broken kneecap.

It was a life changing experience that had a big impact on Blake.

Blake Griffin, LA Clippers Forward, said, "I'm not sure if it made me tougher but it made me go through something and now I'm putting effort on coming back and it makes me appreciate it cause I'm having a blast being able to play."

And that's exactly what he's doing -- burning up the court with dunks and dribbles -- and breaking team records all year. Selected for the 2011 All-Star Game he won the Slam Dunk Contest. But his teammates say he's not just a one man show.

Mo Williams, LA Clippers Guard, said, "He's a great teammate. That's what makes this sweeter. When your guy is a team guy it makes life easier and gives us a whole lotta confidence."

While the Clippers are improving -- they're still struggling with a losing record. But the team's coach says they are making progress -- thanks in part to Blake.

Vinny Del Negro, LA Clippers Coach, said, "He plays a big role. He's the number one pick and an all-star. He's done a great job, fantastic character and is a great worker. He was aggressive earlier today and controlled the game for us."

Jeff Napshin, Washington, DC, said, "Originally from Oklahoma, in the heart of the Midwest, Blake is struggling to deal with his new found fame. But he appreciates his worldwide fan base, including China, and calls it humbling as he tries to remain centered."

Blake Griffin, LA Clippers Forward, said, "For me it's being the same person and knowing that going through the injury last year you realize that one moment it's ok and the next it can all be gone."

That's why he works so hard to improve his game. Blake says he's living the dream and is loving every minute of life in the NBA.

Blake Griffin, LA Clippers Forward, said, "For me, I know my work is never done. I have a lot of work to do to get to the level I want to be at so. Just keep working and learning."
