放射性污水对中国几乎无影响

The Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant has been releasing water containing low levels of radiation into the sea since Monday, in a bid to stabilize the facility. The move has cause new concerns of pollution reaching neighboring countries. Our reporter Xue Jingmeng spoke to a researcher at the national marine environmental forecasting center, who explained the threat to the Chinese coast.
为了稳定设备，周一福岛核电站开始向海水排放低放射性污水。这一举动引发各国对污水流向邻国的担忧。中国记者Xue Jingmeng跟国家海洋环境预报中心的一名研究人员交谈，该人员解释了对中国沿岸的威胁。

Tokyo Electric Power Company has released more than 4 thousand tons of low level radioactive water into the sea, after it ran out of storage capacity. It's about 100 times more radioactive than legal limits. China has now begun to strengthen environmental tests along its coastline.
东京电力公司用完存储容量后，已经向海水排放超过4000吨地放射性污水。它是法定标放射性标准的100倍以上。中国现已开始加强对沿岸的环境监测。

Dr. Liu Guimei, National Marine Environmental Forecasting CTR, said, "We have two ships at sea to test the oceanic environment everyday. And actually, the statistics show there's been no impact on China's coast."
国家海洋环境预测CTR的Liu Guimei教授称：“我们每天有两艘船来监测海洋环境。实际上，数据显示这对中国沿岸没有影响。”

Liu says they will carry out more research.

"Due to the ocean currents from the east of Japan, the contaminated water will flow into the Pacific, away from coast of China. And the polluted water will be diluted." Said Dr. Liu.
