网络旅游服务蓬勃发展

Booking flights or hotels online maybe common in western countries, but it's not a popular way of doing things here in China. But, as our reporter Zhang Ni finds out, the situation is changing.
网上预定机票或酒店在西方国家可能是非常普遍,但是在中国就不那么普遍了。但是,我们的记者张妮发现,这种情况正在改变。

The summer travel season is not here yet, but Zhao Yun's team are already busy designing travel products. They are in charge of beach travel in southern China.
今年夏天的旅游季还没到,但是赵云的小组已经开始忙于设计旅游产品了。他们负责中国南部的沙滩旅行。

Zhao Yun, Travel Products Department of Ctrip.com said "We make lists of hotels and restaurants of choices in our travel packages, and put them online. People can see the whole trip clearly and they can compare the prices."
携程旅行网旅游用品部的赵云说“我们在旅游套餐列出可选的酒店和餐厅,把它们放到网上。人们可以清楚地看到整个旅程,还可以对比价格。”

This is the biggest Chinese online travel agency. It represents half of the market share of online booking in the country. Even though, the online portion of travel booking in China is only 10%, while in western countries is over 60%.
这是中国最大的网上旅行社。它占国家网上订票的一半的市场份额。虽然中国网上订票比例只有10%,而在西方国家却超过60%。

Ding Xiaoliang, Vice President of Ctrip.com said "Currently, the majority of business trip is booked through Internet. But most of the leisure travel or individual travel reservation are still made offline. So how to develop leisure market and individual travel market is the common issue for all the OTAs in China."
携手旅行网副总裁丁小亮说“如今,大部分公务出差都是通过网上订票的。但是大部分休闲旅行或个人旅行依然通过办公室系统订票。所以,如何开发休闲旅行和个人旅行市场是中国所有网上旅行社所面临的普遍问题。”

They are working on it by discounts and maximum of choices of product. And it seemed welcomed by travellers.
他们通过打折和最大限度的产品选择继续努力。而且这看起来受到旅行者的欢迎。

"I travelled with my colleagues some time with reservation in normal travel agencies, we were used to it. But recently I'm more willing to book my trip online, for it's very convenient."
“我跟我同事有时通过正常的旅行社订票去旅行,我们过去常常这样做。但是最近我更喜欢网上订票旅游,因为这非常方便。”

"I started to check regularly online booking websites to see if there are any good deals."
“我开始定期查阅网上订票网站,看看有没有比较划算的。”

China's online travel market volume has rapidly grown by 30% last year. International players are also willing to grab this opportunity: one of the world's biggest online booking services has just launched for its hotel booking brand and application for smart phones, with Chinese version.
中国网上旅游市场量从去年起快速增长了30%。国际参与者也乐意抓住这个机会:世界最大的网上订票服务之一刚刚发布了中国版本的应用智能电话预定酒店品牌。

Johan Svanstorm, Managing Director of Hotels.com said "We know this journey of customers moving towards online to make the travel bookings all over the world. And we see it's happening very fast in China, but it's still a low penetration, there's a lot of opportunity to grow. So having lot of players in the market is good, that means we all helped to educate the customers, and we there are place for many players being in this market as well."
酒店总经理Johan Svanstorm说“我们知道客户旅行趋向网站是为了向全世界进行旅行订票。而且我们看到这在中国发展得非常迅速,但这依然是一个低的参与,还有许多发展的机会。所以,市场上拥有许多参与者是好的,那意味着我们都可以帮助客户,而且市场上还有许多参与者参与的空间。”

With the global resources from international companies and experience of local ones, the online travel market is one step closer to its maturity.
随着国际公司的全球资源和当地公司的经验,网上旅行社市场正一步步接近成熟。

Both local and international online reservation services believe that China's travel market has great potential. With the rapid development of Internet and 3G network, this kind of services are hoping to become future trend for Chinese travellers.
当地和国际网上订票服务相信中国的旅游市场有着巨大的潜能。随着互联网和3G网络的快速发展,这种服务将成为中国旅行者出行的未来趋势。
