CBA新赛季即将开始

With the countdown of the new Chinese Basketball Association season, the first game will tip-off on November 19th. And with the start of the season quickly approaching, the league held on Wednesday to discuss the new campaign.
随着新赛季CBA开赛的临近，第一场比赛将在11月19日上演。新赛季很快到来，联盟周三举行会议，讨论新赛季的比赛。

One of the biggest changes facing the league this season will be a shortened schedule. The 17 teams in the CBA will only play 34 games this year, reduced from the typical 50 game grind. League officials say the change was made to give the members of the Chinese national team time to prepare for the 2012 London Olympics.
本赛季联盟面临的最大改变是赛程缩短。CBA的17支球队今年只进行34场比赛，平常是50场。联盟的官员表示，这个改变是为了让中国国家队的队员有时间备战2012年伦敦奥运会。

This year should be the most competitive ever as many teams have brought in NBA stars to fill-out their rosters as that league continues to battle through its labor stoppage. Among the familiar NBA faces now in China are JR Smith, Kenyon Martin and Wilson Chandler. The opening game will be held in Foshan, Guangdong province, as Guangdong hosts Shandong. The CBA All-star game will be held on February 18 and 19 in Guangzhou with the play-offs scheduled to begin February 22nd.
