农村的教育需要更多的创意

Children never lack imagination, and a stimulating environment is crucial for them to learn and to grow. But in some of China’s remote villages, many children may not have access to this kind of encouraging environment and just have the most basic education. For some of them, one comic book may seem a luxury.
孩子从来不缺乏想象力，一个有激发性的环境对他们的学习和成长来说是至关重要的。但是，在中国一些偏远乡村，很多孩子可能没有机会接触到这种激励的环境，只接受最基本的教育。对他们中的一些人来说，一本漫画书可能是一种奢侈品。

It is no doubt that the lives of people in Qingshanqiao, a Village in central China’s Hunan province have improved dramatically.
毫无疑问，在中国中部湖南省的青山桥村，人们的生活已经显著提高了。

Many villagers who took jobs in big cities have made enough money to build their own houses, and even enjoy a relatively modern lifestyle.
许多村民到大城市打工，赚够钱建自己的房子，甚至享受到相对现代化的生活方式。

But one thing they fail to notice is that aside from the basic needs, their children may need more.
但是他们忽略了一件事：除了基本需要，他们的孩子需要的可能更多。

Like many other kids in the village, Zhang Chiyu’s parents both work in the city, leaving him and his grandparents at home.
像村里许多其他孩子一样，Zhang Chiyu的父母都在城市打工，留下他和爷爷奶奶在家里。

Little Chiyu likes to read, but it looks like textbooks are all he’s got at home.
小Chiyu喜欢阅读，但是，看起来他家里有的书都是教科书。

Zhang Chiyu, Elementary School Student, said, "I want to have some comic books, but mom and dad said I can’t have them."
小学生Zhang Chiyu表示：“我想要一些漫画书，但是爸爸妈妈说我不能看这种书。”

Children need a stimulating environment to learn.
孩子需要一个有激发性的环境来学习。

But for many residents in Qingshanqiao Village, taking that one extra step to provide an encouraging environment for their kids to grow could be challenging, and sadly may even seem unneccessary for some parents.
但是对青山桥村的许多居民来说，再踏出一步，为他们的孩子提供一个激励的环境可能很有挑战性，不幸的是，一些父母甚至可能认为没有这个必要。

Most of their income is used to cover basic household expenses.
他们的大部分收入是用来支付基本的家庭开支。

Zhang Chiyu's Grandfather said, “When his mom and dad come back from the city, they usually bring back clothes, shoes and socks, they have never brought books back for him before."
Zhang Chiyu的爷爷表示：“他爸爸妈妈从城市里回来的时候，他们常常会带衣服、鞋子和袜子回来，他们以前从没有给他带过书。”
