好莱坞电影9月重回银屏

Stepping into September, Hollywood blockbusters are back on the silver screens in the Chinese Mainland. Now we’ll give you a brief preview, and guide you through the most notable screenings ahead.

"Batman: The Dark Knight Rises" and "The Amazing Spider-man" play the vanguard in this tide of "Hollywood Invasion". Both films premiered on August 27th, and reached a box office result of 100-million Yuan in four days time.

But whether you’re a die-hard comic fan or only interested in blockbusters, there’s something for everyone.

"Prometheus" is joining the box office battle during the weekend. It’s the prequel to Ridley Scott’s 1979 sci-fi horror classic "Alien", further fleshing out the mythology and ideas of the Aliens franchise.

Domestic productions including "White Deer Plain" and "The Assassins" are also fighting back. The former is based on Chen Zhongshi’s award-winning novel, and the latter is a reinvention of the well-known Three Kingdoms epic.

Stage drama adaptation "Dangerous Liaisons" stars international superstar Zhang Ziyi. The movie will kick off the second wave of box office competition during the National Day holiday on September 27th.
