中国大部分地区的烟雾减轻

China's heavy smog which continued for more than a week is beginning to lift due to the arrival of a wave of cold air.

The weather bureau says winds have swept across east and central China from Tuesday evening. And the air quality is expected to improve after the wind disperses the smog. But for now it will continue to cloak parts of the country including north China, east of the Yangtze River and East of Hanjiang River. Authorities have reminded residents in these areas to wear a mask outdoors and be cautious on the roads.
