中国南方广东省发生地震

A 4.8 magnitude quake jolted Heyuan city in South China's Guangdong Province just hours ago, before noon.

According to the China Earthquake Networks Center, the epicenter is 11 kilometres deep. Residents in the provincial capital Guangzhou, more than 100 kilometers away, felt the tremor.

The quake affected neighboring cities to different degrees.
