NBA: 公牛结束热火27连胜
The Miami Heat’s mission to chase down the L.A. Lakers record for most consecutive wins in an NBA season. Going into Wednesday night’s game against Chicago, the Heat had rattled off 27 straight wins, and needed six more victories to tie the Lakers mark. But the Bulls would put a bulls-eye on LeBron and the boys.
The Bulls were all business early and would score 11 of the first 13 points. Luol Deng hitting here, He had 28.
Miami would find their legs in the second half and start to make a charge. The King doing his above the rim thing off the pass from D-Wade. The lead is 7.
South Beach had a chance to take the lead in the third q, but failed to do so, and that got the Bulls running. Jimmy Butler converts the alley-oop and the Madhouse on Madison is rocking.
We fast-forward to the fourth and Chicago still ahead, looking to increase the lead -- Taj Gibson hits the baseline jumper and the Bulls have a 9-point lead with 2 minutes to go! The streak is in jeopardy.
The Heat would answer quickly to make it a 7-point deficit but time was not on their side.
Chi-town would then try to ice it -- Nate Robinson’s three is off the mark, but Carlos Boozer outmuscles two Miami players for the put back. The Bulls on the verge of ending the winstreak.
The look on LeBron James and Dwyaane Wade’s face says it all. They tried valiantly, but Chicago ends Miami’s 27-game winning streak.
So here is a look at how Miami’s streak stacks up in NBA lore. The Heat come up 6-games short of the Lakers record. And they were the only team in the last four decades to really challenge the mark. The third longest streak on that list belongs to the Houston Rockets, who turned the trick in the 07-08 season. The Milwaukee Bucks, and the old Washington Capitols were the only other squads to rack up a 20-game winning streak.
