广东22连胜平CBA纪录

2015-01-22来源:和谐英语

The Guangdong Southern Tigers would be hosting the Jiangsu Dragons, and looking to equal the league's regular season record for consecutive wins by picking up their 22nd straight victory. This is a feat which has been accomplished twice before, by the Bayi Rockets during the CBA's inaugural season, with that same mark later equaled by Guangdong.

35-year-old Hu Xuefeng and 34-year-old Du Feng are longtime rivals, having matched up in a number of CBA Finals during their careers, and now Du is coaching Guangdong, while Hu continues to hoop it up on the hardwood for Jiangsu.

The Dragons hadn't beaten the Southern Tigers in four years, so they would come in eager for a win, and in the first quarter, Hu's three-pointer cuts the deficit to just one point.

But then Yi Jianlian would begin to show off his hops, as this dunk in the second Q gives the Southern Tigers a lead of 15, and they would go into half-time ahead by 16, as the former NBA player Yi goes on to score 32 points in the game.

Guangdong's Chris Daniels, who team officials say will soon be replaced by former Minnesota Timberwolves mainstay Jeff Adrien, finishes with just seven points.

Wang Shipeng's three-pointer early in the third quarter keeps the Southern Tigers in front by 16, as the sharpshooter's six treys help him contribute 24 points for the hosts, and Guangdong goes on to win by a final margin of 30, extending their win streak to a record-equalling 22, in addition to overtaking Liaoning at the top of the standings.

Reigning CBA champions extend winning streak to six

And in the Chinese capital, Beijing would host Xinjiang, which means Stephon Marbury goes up against his cousin, Sebastian Telfair, and the two relatives clash early in the second quarter, as the Ducks guard fouls his counterpart.

Telfair finds the net shortly afterward, pulling the Flying Tigers to within five points. He then assists Zhou Qi on the slam dunk, but Beijing now leads by six. And when Marbury dishes to Randolph Morris a bit later, the champions are up by 11, before going on to finish the half with an advantage of 13. After the break, Marbury finds Li Gen for the bucket, and the lead keeps swelling.

Andray Blatche then sparks Xinjiang on a 13-0 run in the fourth quarter, but it's too late at that point, as the reigning CBA champions cruise to victory and extend their winning streak to six in a row.

In other act, the Liaoning Flying Leopards were beaten on the road by the Guangsha Lions, handing their league-leading position to Guangdong, while the Zhejiang Golden Bulls and Fujian Sturgeons were also winners.

Elsewhere, the Shanghai Sharks were one of the few teams beaten at home, after falling to the Dongguan Leopards. The Qingdao Eagles, Jilin Northeast Tigers, Shandong Golden Stars, and Tongxi Monkey Kings were the night's other victors.
