The other series would see the CBA's top regular season team the Liaoning Flying Leopards at home against Guangdong. The hosts beat the Southern Tigers in the opener game, and were looking to take advantage of their home court and move to within one game of advancing to the final.

Things are tight in the opening q -- and Yi Jianlian shows off his range to put the visitors ahead.

Liaoning's Liu Zhixuan is able to slice into the lane -- for the hoop and the harm, as the hosts are keeping it close.

Lester Hudson would lead the top seeds in this one and his trey from the corner, gives his side a 4-point edge in the second q.

And the Hudson hits another triple as Liaoning stay in front.

And right before half-time Liu Zhixuan is able to beat the buzzer with the long bomb.  He double clutches and finds the bottom of the net to give his side a 4-point lead at recess.
 
Guangdong would be out of sorts in the second half -- Yi Jianlian off the mark on the triple. 

And then Han Dejun is able to get the steal and go the other way for the deuce, and the hosts are starting to cruise -- up double digits.

And they continue to be in control -- as Hudson again finds the range.

In the fourth, Zhu Fangyu finds Yi Jianlian for a dunk underneath, he led Guangdong with 23 points, but his side is still behind.

The hosts would get an injury scare as Han Dejun falls hard after going for a rebound. The big man lands awkwardly on his shoulder and would be Zhou Zhandong.

Guangdong would start to cut into the margin -- as Zhou Peng's three pointer trims the deficit to 8 points.

However, Hudson would not allow his team to relinquish the lead -- as he shakes free for a jumper and finishes with a game high 31 points as the hosts grab 103-88 win, and lead the series 2-nothing, and are a win away from the finals.

So the teams get a couple of days off before they play again, with Game three in both series set for Wednesday. Liaoning and Sichuan are both just one win away from securing a berth in the championship series. Coincidentally both those squads have yet to lose a game in these playoffs.
