The Cleveland Cavaliers hosted the Boston Celtics in Game 2 of their first round Eastern Conference series. LeBron James scored 30 points and Kyrie Irving added 26, as the Calvs came out on top 99-91 to take a 2-0 lead in their opening-round series.

Off a turnover by LBJ, Marcus Smart hit a corner, three-pointer to put the Celtics 16-8 ahead in the opening quarter.

Timofey Mozgov pulled the Cavaliers even at 16-all with four minutes remaining in the quarter.

Matthew Dellavedova sank a three-pointer to keep the Cavaliers within one of the Celtics early in the second.

Irving knocked down a deep, three-pointer to move the Cavaliers in front 49-48.

Irving dished the ball to James for a bucket in the paint to open up a 13-point lead, midway through the third.

Following some crisp ball movement, Irving sank another three-pointer to make it  84-79.

But James made the big shots in the final moments, putting the Cavaliers a 97-89 ahead with a minute remaining.

Cleveland beat Boston 99-91 to take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven game series.

The Washington Wizards beat the Toronto Raptors to take a 2-0 lead in their first-round playoffs series. Elsewhere, Dwight Howard scored 28 points and James Harden added 24 to help the Houston Rockets coast to a 111-99 victory over the Dallas Mavericks, taking a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference playoff.
