Elegance and beauty at China Fashion Week’s wedding series! Renowned designer Mark Cheung’s collection brings his latest work to stage with a burst of vibrance and kaleidoscopic color. The routine of the show is also an innovation, being more dramatic than your average T-stage troll.

This isn’t your traditional wedding attire. The playful and trendy British style menswear and skirts are more like what you’d find at a fancy dress up party. But designer Mark Cheung insists that this is the way to go.

Mark Cheung said, "Most young people these days are looking for neither traditional Chinese wedding outfits nor classical solemn western wedding attire. I think they want something light-hearted, chic and beautiful. But my collection is very diverse, it’s divided into 5 sections and I have more traditional outfits as well."

Casually elegant, Cheung emphasizes simplicity, highlighting the energy and innocence of young people.

But simplicity doesn’t compromise luxury in his work. As one of Cheung’s chief models, Zhai Ling’s wedding dress presents a great marriage of luxury and simplicity.

Zhai Ling said, "This is my 3rd time working with Mark, and it is an honor to be here. As you can see my dress is adorned with diamond and gem decorations, so it’s really flashy and beautiful "

This is the first time Cheung has included men’s clothing in his wedding collection. This formal-wear shows the innate taste of men, expressing masculine pride and self assertiveness.

Looking ahead, Cheung is confident that the Chinese market is hungry for classy wedding attire.

Mark Cheung said, "In the old days, couples borrowed clothes from wedding supply stores. But as people’s living standards rise, they take it more seriously, in the sense that they want to keep their wedding clothes, and they want the event elaborately planned. So I think there is a great future for the Chinese market. "

Some have compared Cheung’s works to poetry, where there are no rules to follow, only beautiful lines to read.

Optimistic about the market and confident in his work, he intends to follow through with the style he’s devoted himself to for almost 30 years.
