澳门升旗仪式庆祝回归14周年

A flag raising ceremony has been held at Golden Lotus Square in Macao, to celebrate the 14th anniversary of the city‘s return to China. Leaders from the Macao special administrative region and PLA soldiers in the region, together with hundreds of local residents, attended the ceremony.

The celebrations come as Chui Sai On, chief executive of the region, reports his work to the central government on the city’s latest economic, social and political developments.

Over the years, Macao has made great achievements in boosting its economy and improving the lives of ordinary people. Macao’s economy is largely reliant on tourism, especially its lucrative and glitzy casino resorts.

The central government has urged the city to innovate and diversify its development path.
