Subways in the city were halted to prevent terrorist attacks. The local government said subway operations will be restored after the situation stabilizes.

People have since queued up for buses on the street, which has led to overcrowding due to the large time gaps between buses. Driving cars has also proven difficult and will be made worse after all gas stations in the city close on Friday.

Public anger is now growing amid the worsening situation in Kiev.
