普通人的“中国梦”:河北农民画展
The Shijiazhuang Art Museum has opened a special exhibition featuring paintings and calligraphy by farmers, the very first of its kind.
At the Shijiazhuang Art museum, these pieces created by farmers are the center of attention.
Some 130 paintings and calligraphy works show how China’s countryside has changed over the years.
The exhibition also bears witness to the Chinese Dream, and of how ordinary people dare to make their dreams come true.
"They’re all creations from farmers. And what they’ve achieved with their hands is part of the Chinese Dream," artist Hou Huixin said.
The event is part of a local government campaign to make art more accessible to the public, by putting ordinary people under the spotlight.
"It offers a great platform for farmers to realize their dreams. It’s really inspiring," said Zhang Shumin, president of Hebei Calligraphy Society.
This unique exhibition runs until Sunday.
