中国发布国家安全蓝皮书

China has released its first national security bluepaper, which was compiled by the International Strategy and Security Research Center from the University of International Relations.

The report says recent terrorist attacks in China have shown some new features. These include attacks being located in new areas across China, being targeted on government organs, and the use of simple weapons.

In the past year, there have been 10 terrorist incidents that killed more than 30 people including police officers. The report also outlined four tasks for China’s newly formed National Security Commission.

The first is to formulate and implement China’s national security strategy, which is one of the most important tasks for the commission.

The second is to promote the construction of a national security legal system. A more comprehensive national security law is needed to improve China’s legal system.

The third is for the commission to formulate China’s security policies and guidelines, including specific measures to fight terrorism, separatism, and extremism; maintain security and stability; and solve territorial disputes.

The last task is to solve significant issues related to national security by coordinating mutual departments.
