福建省重开海上丝绸之路
The Maritime Silk Road dates back to Qin Dynasty. It’s a crucial route for trading between China and many other countries. Now 2,000 years later, people are once again reviving this ancient route with closer business cooperation.
The Shishi Summit of Sino-Italian Business Cooperation was held earlier this week in the City of Shishi, Fujian province----which was once a station along the Maritime Silk Road. The city has signed an agreement with an Italian delegation with the intention to connect the city of Shishi and Italy on the Maritime Silk Road and facilitate goods shipping.
One area for development would be in the apparel industry. Apparel is one of the main contributors to the Shishi’s local economy and it hopes to gain a foothold in the world’s fashion industry and move up the value chain by cooperating with Italy.
