“丝绸之路”经济带受欢迎

The Silk Road Economic Belt initiative is the phrase on everybody's lips at an ongoing forum of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, or SCO, in Russia.

The organization's Secretary-General Dmitry Mezentsev applauded the strategy on the sidelines of an earlier press briefing, saying it will benefit all members of the bloc. He also said that sound growth in China is a reflection of the harmonious dynamics between the country's central and local administrations.

"The Silk Road Economic Belt strategy was brought to the agenda of the SCO economic and trade ministers' meeting in Kazakhstan in 2014. It was also thoroughly discussed at the SCO Leaders' Summit." He said.

"What's very important is that every country should find viable points to interface with it and decide, as per the proposal of the Chinese leadership, their own development plan. I think it's a significant measure to boost economic cooperation under the SCO framework."
