米兰已经准备好迎接中国游客
With less than two months to go before the opening of the 2015 World Expo in Milan, organizers were in Shanghai over the weekend, trying to drum up support from prospective Chinese visitors.
The event’s organizing committee says it has sold 500,000 tickets in China, but expects three times that number of Chinese visitors during the five-month event.
Italian officials say they will ensure all visitors can book a hotel near the Expo Park, and prices for five-star hotels will remain around 120 euros a night. And during the Expo, all three-star hotels and above will provide Chinese visitors with boiling water in rooms and porridge at breakfast.
And the Expo Park will also provide at least 100,000 special cellphones to help Chinese visitors.
"You can use it to get online or call anybody because you have 2G Internet flow for free. You can also call vocal Chinese service such as guide and presentation of the pavilions," said Zhu Xiaodong, Executive Director of Suncorp Tech. Ltd
Zhu said the rental fee for the cellphone will be 100 euros.
Managers of the China Corporate United Pavilion are building a second pavilion in downtown Milan, with a different focus from the one inside the Expo Park.
"Our pavilion is mainly related to culture and to lifestyle between the cities. The pavilion will be mainly dedicated to food, of course. There will be a very big kitchen. We will be able to showcase, show cooking from Italian brands and from Chinese brands," said Stefano Mologni, CCUP Vice Secretary-General.
Mologni says the second pavilion will be close to the central train station.
